Frank will give you great service and a great product. A signmaker in Albany NY since 1980, Frank integrates his background in art and design into every custom job. Frank enjoys the challenge of expertly crafting your sign and ensuring that it is suited to your needs.
Born in 1954 in rural upstate New York, Frank has always been drawing and painting. He attended Greenwich High School and Empire State College some. In 1980 he founded Frank Smith Signs and continues to provide quality commercial art and signs to the business community of the Capital Region and beyond.

Frank’s creatures & masks are made from found objects, post-consumer goods and obsolete machine components.
Frank’s pen & inks are a mixture of urban and rural. Subjects include the Normanskill, downtown Albany, Washington County, Upstate NY, and more. Many of the waterways are views from his kayak.
Frank’s art-signs include custom made signs of many kinds— camp signs, sayings & witticisms, retro/decorative ideas and more. If you are a contemporary art lover check out his collages.
